Description of our neighbourhood and surrounding area
Martinique is a Caribbean island that is part of the French west indies called Petites Antilles. Overseas region of France, its culture reflects a distinctive blend of French and Caribbean influences. Its largest city, Fort-de-France, is home to steep hills, narrow streets and La Savane, a garden lined with shops and cafes in which was erected the statue of Josephine de Beauharnais, first wife of Napoleon Bonaparte, native from the island. Must to see !! 10 km from the main town Lamentin, our location is in the middle or the island facilitates journey : all activities (sailing, hiking, beaches, shopping, dancing, best restaurants...) are close.
